Nursing diploma holders picky

I REFER to Nursing pursuit woes cut deep as well as Jobs in nursing hard to come by for graduates (The Star, Feb 3). we am a alloy in private practice. In a last two years we have been struggling to employ nurses. we am always understaffed, as well as during times even critically so. we have interviewed many nursing diploma holders as well as find that many of them have been only plain refined when it comes to matters such as income as well as operative hours. Some of them when offering employment, dont even bother to turn up for work. Most have been demure to do weekends, as well as evening as well as night shifts. They have been not keen upon overtime or to work upon public holidays. When we pointed out that since they had chosen to become nurses as well as that it was expected of them to work upon a shift basis, they would only smile as well as decline employment. They would rather not work during all. Some even say that their parents would not agree with a operative hours. Some of these graduates mentioned that they had pursuit offers during a little private hospitals but did not take up a offers as they were not willing to relocate. Although they have no operative experience, they have high income expectations. In spite of telling them that they can expect an increment based upon work performance as well as generation of employment, many barely lasted five months, a little not even one month. There were cases when we had to terminate a services of a little due to poor work performance as well as inappropriate attitude. we am not surprised that 54% of private nursing graduates cant find jobs. It is not that there have been no vacancies for nurses, but it is due to their perspective that they cant find jobs. My advice to these graduates as well as their parents is not to be fussy when applying for a job. DOCTOR, Rawang, Selangor. Powered By iWebRSS.co.cc
