MSU loss of nursing faculty prompts review

The state nursing board plans to examination Mountain State University's accreditation after the school lost 4 nursing faculty members. The West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses had placed Mountain State's nursing module on provisional accreditation for deficiencies final year. Executive Director Laura Rhodes tells the Charleston Gazette (http://bit.ly/tnhUgc ) that 4 nursing faculty members left Dec. 16. Rhodes says the board is gathering information and will discuss either the nursing module should retain the provisional state accreditation. Mountain State's nursing module lost the inhabitant accreditation from one body in October 2010. Another inhabitant commission denied the bid for accreditation in November. Mountain State spokesman Andy Wessels declined to comment on the faculty members' departure, observant they're personnel issues. He says the school is advertising for nursing faculty. ___ Information from: The Charleston Gazette, http://www.wvgazette.com
