Deal or No Deal: Are Medicare and Medicaid Cuts Coming?

If a super committee fails to reach a deal, how badly do you think Medicare and Medicaid will be cut in 2013 and beyond?

The sovereign health programs, along with Social Security, have been projected to grow from 10 to 15 percent of GDP in a subsequent 25 years. Democrats have been already looking at ways to hem which in - final week Democrats floated a super committee proposal to cut $400 billion from sovereign health programs, in part by asking Medicare beneficiaries to pay an extra $100 billion to cover a cost of their care.

Republicans have been pushing for some-more drastic, structural changes to Medicare, similar to transforming a entitlement program into a voucher system where seniors would get supervision subsidies for private insurance coverage. Short of which change, Republicans in a super committee have regularly pushed for poignant entitlement spending cuts.

Are a sovereign health programs destined for a chopping block once a 2012 presidential choosing is over?
